1971 CE: GORDIS WRITES FAITH FOR MODERNS

Classic text, albeit essentially out of print by 2008.

Excellent and erudite primer for Modern Traditional/Observant Judaism.

A careful analysis of the work manifests the convergence of “Conservadox” with “Modern Orthodox.” Both movements will provide disproportionate “intellectual fire” for late 20th century and early 21st century Judaism.

Robert Gordis (1908–1992), was, among other stellar achievements, a leading conservative rabbi, one–time president of the Rabbinical Assembly, professor at JTS in NY, as well as a founder of JUDAISM, a very leading and universally–regarded quarterly journal of the Conservative movement.
