Canadian–born (June, 1937), Wharton MBA (1961) and Harvard Law graduate (1962).
A seven–year veteran of Boston–based Cabot, Cabot and Forbes real estate firm, Zuckerman founded Boston Properties in 1970 (sold for $2.5 billion in 2007). Zuckerman has parlayed some of his real estate winnings (he is in the upper half of the Forbes 400 in 2008) into literary trophy assets.
In 1984, he purchased U.S. News & World Report, where he has served as Editor–in–Chief.
He has been the publisher/owner of The NY Daily News since he purchased it 1993.
Zuckerman sold the aforementioned Atlantic Monthly in 1999.
On the community service front, he served as Chairman of the Council of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations from 2000–2003.
